Naolí Vinaver - The Art Of Birth Workshop

Naolí Vinaver is an incredible Mexican Midwife, who we were blessed to have come to speak to us here in Provo, UT on June 12, 13, and 14, 2025. Naolí has been an active Midwife since 1986, and has attended 1800 births. She continues to have an active home birth practice in Brazil today, and travels to give workshops to many groups from different cultural and religious backgrounds.

It was an incredible experience to hear her expertise about what a versatile tool the rebozo is for birth workers. This workshop was not just an opportunity to learn about the roots of the rebozo, but also an opportunity to dig deep within ourselves and open our hearts and souls to each other; birth work inherently requires a deep sense of trust and connection between us and the mothers in our care. Birth workers are the ones setting the foundation for the relationships we build with each mother. We learned powerful lessons about the importance of being vulnerable and honest with each mother we serve, to facilitate a safe birth space, so each mother in our care feels secure and protected to dig deep within herself, and fully open herself to the transformative journey of birth.

The rebozo to me is now an even more powerful symbol of all of the wisdom I obtained through this workshop, all of the love and intuition and empathy that was shared, and the sisterhood we weaved together through opening our hearts and souls to each other.
